I came back to work today after being out for a lunch meeting to find a gift bag on my chair. I opened the card to find a wonderful note from the Chair of the Hospice Foundation Board.

Dear Jacqueline,

Thought you and Adam might like to each start a journal as you begin another chapter in your lives. As you are looking to reduce your possessions perhaps you will make some notes of special moments, thoughts or prayers shared with those you love. Recording those treasured moments will help them stay fresh in your minds for the next two years.

What an amazing act of kindness she just showed me. The support and love I’ve received since we made this decision is unbelievable. I feel so very fortunate.
